After about 18 months of indecisiveness, I’ve finally decided it’s time to put Island Vittles out to pasture. It was a tough decision to come to, because this blog has taught me so much about writing, food, photography and social media. It’s been a 7-year long crash course that began my food-writing journey, and I will always be grateful to everyone who checked in to see what I was cooking. What’s next? Well, my new cookbook, Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook continues to sell well. OK has taken almost all of my time in the last couple of years, and it’s become glaringly obvious in that time that I can’t keep up with two different food paths (and blogs). I’m finally at a point where I can accept that I need Island Vittles off of my To-Do list. But I’m not going to stop cooking, and we can’t eat Outlander Kitchen everyday, so I’ve opened a new Instagram account to share some daily meal inspiration.
